Helen Rosenthal is the immediate past Chair of Community Board 7 and has served on the board for over ten years. She is an active participant in the Community Education Council advocating for solutions to serious overcrowding in public schools. Helen serves on the Board of Directors for a number of local social service and crime prevention organizations as well as on the national board of NARAL Pro Choice America. She worked in the Ed Koch, David Dinkins, and Rudy Giuliani administrations in the Office of Management and Budget, with a focus on the City's health and hospital budgets.

Helen lives on Manhattan's Upper West Side with her husband and two teenage daughters.
