- ParentJobNet is very pleased to announce our partnership with The Manhattan Chamber of Commerce (MCC)
http://www.manhattancc.org/. This partnership will strengthen and enhance our job posting database and give you – our parent community – greater access to over 300 diverse business organizations in Manhattan through job fairs, networking events, seminars, on-line job opportunities, and other job-related resources. Through this collaborative effort, we aim to create greater opportunities for parents to connect with organizations doing business in and around New York City. As catalyst to assisting parents with obtaining the necessary job networking opportunities, it is essential we demonstrate that we can bridge the gap between those who can provide job opportunities and those who seek them. We are excited about this great opportunity – one that will benefit parents, caregivers, and most importantly, our children, regardless of social, economic, or cultural background. We look forward to another successful school-year.
- ParentJobNet.Org is relaunched. We are currently accepting any job postings. Feel free to send us your
postings here.
- ParentJobNet is proud to announce our partnership with Consortium for Worker Education (CWE). This
partnership will strengthen and enhance our educational programs and fulfill an important part of our mission to help parents and caregivers achieve their highest potential in becoming knowledgeable, confident, competent, resourceful, and professional individuals. Through this collaborative effort, we hope to educate, empower, and provide resources to parents and caregivers. As catalysts to assisting parents with obtaining the necessary skills for securing jobs and/or enhancing careers, it is essential we demonstrate the importance of bridging the gap between education and employment. In addition to our current program offerings, CWE (http://www.cwe. org/about.php) will provide a comprehensive GED program and computer training classes to parents and caregivers in a number of selected District 3 public schools beginning this fall. We are excited about this great opportunity – one that will benefit parents and caregivers regardless of social, economic, or cultural background. We look forward to another successful school year. Hope you have a wonderful and restful summer.
